Mission-critical healthcare and energy platforms
We design, build and operate healthcare and energy platforms for public institutions and global enterprises. Below is a selection of the programs we have delivered. To learn more about who we are, visit our company page.
Healthcare domain
Nodalpoint has built a reputation as one of South-Eastern Europe’s most trusted implementation partners for large-scale e-health ecosystems. Our delivery portfolio includes the following programs.
Cyprus National Healthcare Insurance System (GESY)
As the main software development partner in the winning consortium, we delivered the end-to-end national e-health backbone of Cyprus. Today, the system supports more than 150 million healthcare transactions per year and tens of thousands of concurrent healthcare professionals. In addition, the entire population (~1M) are beneficiaries and manage their care through one unified portal.
The project ran under a multi-million “build-and-operate” agreement. As a result, we completed a 2+ year build phase on time. We then provided full-lifecycle support for the duration of the contract. Specifically, our work covered SOA-based integration, BPM-driven workflows, e-Prescription/e-Dispensing, lab ordering and an insurance back office.

Greek National e-Prescription System
Launched in 2017 as the country’s largest online public-sector system, this enterprise Java-based platform processes every prescription and reimbursement nationwide. Moreover, it is sized for tens of thousands of simultaneous healthcare professionals.
We acted as a key subcontractor during the initial development of the system. In particular, we owned the full software-delivery stream for multiple modules, from architecture through rollout.
Product development for a global German reinsurer
First, we helped migrate the firm’s flagship health-insurance core platform from a client/server architecture to a modern web stack. Furthermore, we engineered a configurable medical-rules engine that underpins its worldwide underwriting services.
Overall, across these programs, we have built a unique blend of deep domain knowledge, regulatory insight and enterprise-grade engineering. As a result, Nodalpoint is the partner of choice for mission-critical digital-health transformations.
Energy domain
Nodalpoint supports the Greek Independent Power Transmission Operator (IPTO) on its journey toward data-driven grids.
IPTO partnership
We work with IPTO across its electricity-market platforms, from balancing-market settlement to the data that feeds it. Our main activities include:
-
Balancing-market settlement and orchestration
An extensible, secure microservice platform computes settlement results in line with the ENTSO-E balancing guidelines. As a result, it delivers full auditability, high availability and regulator-ready transparency.
-
Standing Data Management System
Similarly, a centralized configuration authority keeps market-entity reference data consistent across all balancing applications.
-
Market Access Portal and auction applications
A single sign-on gateway gives energy market participants role-based access to IPTO tools. It also includes a robust auction engine for high- and medium-voltage capacity agreements.
-
Time-series data hub
Our ingestion layer harmonizes and consolidates energy telemetry and market data. Therefore, settlement and operational analytics receive a traceable, near-real-time data flow.
May 2025Ongoing partnership
IPTO signed a new three-year services contract with Nodalpoint. Under this contract, we also handle software evolution and infrastructure management for its critical market platforms.
By combining deep Oracle-stack expertise with modern cloud-native patterns, we deliver resilient energy-market solutions. Moreover, these solutions scale with the sector’s rapid shift toward renewables, flexibility services and advanced analytics. Together, our healthcare and energy platforms serve millions of citizens and market participants every day.
